AYUSH Department steps up presence in Dubai

With this new development, the Department of AYUSH seeks to excel in developing education and research in Ayurveda (Indian traditional medicine), Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy, and other alternative medicine systems.

As a part of this initiative, Ayurvedic doctors will be available on all Sundays and Wednesdays between 10am 12 noon for providing free consultation to the public. Effective November 6, 2015, a Homoeopathic practitioner will also be giving free consultation every Tuesday. However, no medicines will be dispensed.
Created in March 1995 as the Department of Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy (ISM&H), Ayush received its current name in March 2003.
Ayush is a common name, derived from Sanskrit, meaning 'Long-life'. It operates under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
