GSK Consumer Healthcare Q3 profit up 36.7% at Rs 131.85 crore

New Delhi: GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Consumer Healthcare Ltd today reported a 36.75 per cent increase in its standalone net profit to Rs 131.85 crore for the third quarter ended on December 31, 2015 as the company has gained shares in the health food drink category.
The company had reported a net profit of Rs 96.41 crore for the October-December period a year ago, GSK said in a BSE filing.
Net sales of the company during the period under review were up 1.39 per cent to Rs 988.77 crore as against Rs 975.17 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.
"We have been able to successfully connect and engage with our consumers via sharp insight based communication to grow consumption of Horlicks. Our core differentiator remains our science and we will strengthen our focus to constantly innovate," said GSK Consumer Healthcare Managing Director Manoj Kumar.
