Gaya: A practitioner and an associate professor working with the medicine department of Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital (ANMMCH) has come under scanner, for allegedly instigating patients to not undergo treatment at the said medical college and hospital. It is alleged that the doctors was instigating patients not to seek treatment at the hospital by saying that the hospital does not have proper infrastructure and facilities for the treatment.
Not only this, the doctor is also in a soup with the allegation that he was diverting patients to a private hospital patronized and run by him. A Three member committee has been constituted by the ANMMCH administration to run a probe in the matter.
In the complaints received from the patients by the administration it is found with documentary evidences that the said the practitioner had indeed diverted patients to the private hospital for tests, for which facilities were available at ANMMCH. Documentary evidences include copy of tests conducted.
"A three-member inquiry committee was constituted immediately on receipt of the complaints. The inquiry committee has submitted its report which will be forwarded to the principal and it was for him to take appropriate action in the matter",said ANMMCH superintendent Dr SK Sinha to TOI.
An an inquiry report explaining the matter will also be forwarded to the principal of the medical college and hospital as soon as he is back from an official tour.
