IMA discusses Medical Issues in  India, Myanmar

Imphal: The first Indo-Myanmar Doctor’s Scientific Meeting organised by Myanmar Medical Association (MMA), Mandalay Region and Indian Medical Association (IMA), Manipur State Branch at Mandalay, Myanmar opened a new platform of exchanges of ideas of medical issues between the two countries.

A 25 member delegation of Indian Medical Association (IMA), Manipur State Branch camped in Myanmar for the first two weeks of this month. Dr RN Tandon, Past National Secretary General, IMA Hqs, New Delhi gave a detailed account of the functioning of IMA. Maternal Health in South East Asia is a major issue hence Dr Ch. Nabakanta Sharma, Consultant Gynecologist and Past Hony State Secretary, IMA , Manipur State Branch discussed the matter.

IMA Manipur president, Dr Shyamkumar Laishram said he good the opportunity to inform the Myanmar counterparts about Prevention of Sexual Abuse in Children.
