Patient jumps from the first floor of hospital

Jorhat: A patient at the Jorhat Medical College Hospital here jumped from the first floor of its building and was injured seriously.
The 42-year-old patient, who hails from Chungi tea estate, was admitted in the medicine ward of the hospital on October 25 with liver disease, the hospital sources said.
After his jump he was admitted to the surgical ward of the same hospital, they said.
The man's family claimed that he was suffering from depression due to his illness for the last couple of years.
Investigation into the incident is on and a case has been registered against the man at the Jorhat Medical College police outpost.
