NIRMALA SITHARAMAN ADMITTED TO AIIMS FOR STOMACH INFECTION

Nirmala Sitharaman was admitted into a private ward of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi on Monday after she complained of a stomach infection.

WHO IS NIRMALA SITHARAMAN? Nirmala Sitharaman is an Indian economist and politician serving as the Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs of India since 2019. She is a member of the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament, since 2014.

The 63-year-old, who was admitted around noon, was also running a fever. Her condition is reported to be stable.

The hospitalization of the minister comes at a crucial time since the presentation of the nation's budget is only a month away.
