WHAT IS WORLD HEMOPHILIA DAY ?
World Hemophilia Day, observed annually on April 17th, raises awareness about hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. It aims to educate and advocate for better treatment and care for those affected by the condition, promoting understanding and support globally.
HISTORY OF WORLD HAEMOPHILIA DAY
On Frank Schnabel's birthday in 1989, the WFH established World Haemophilia Day to commemorate the disorder's discovery in the tenth century. Anticoagulants made the problem worse until 1803 study by Dr. Otto revealed its hereditary inheritance, which led to a 1937 categorization without a viable cure.

This year 2024, World Hemophilia Day Theme is “Equitable access for all: recognizing all bleeding disorders”.
