World Kidney Day is celebrated every year on the second Thursday in March and in 2022, it will be celebrated on 10 March, it aims on raising awareness for the increasing number of kidney diseases across the world.
World Kidney Day was first celebrated in 2006 and is growing since then. The aim of this initiative is to spread awareness of kidney-related problems and their treatment among people across the world.
Kidneys are the most important and vital organs of our body, it filters our blood and help in passing waste urine from our body. World Kidney Day was started by the joint committee of the International Society of Nephrology and the International Federation of Kidney Foundations.
Theme 2022- "Kidney Health for All"
It aims to bridge the knowledge gaps to better kidney care. The campaign 2022 focuses on increasing awareness about kidney problems and their treatment.
