Ambala: Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij said the work on Cancer Hospital in the general civil hospital at Ambala Cantt premises will start shortly.
While reviewing the progress of construction of different departments in the hospital during a high-level meeting with the Health department officers here, Mr Vij said that orders had been given to demolish the old building and get a new one in its place, for the Cancer Hospital.
Haryana Health Department Director General Dr Satish Aggarwal was present with his team, on the occasion.
He said the Cancer Hospital would cater to the demands of patients, who had to go to the PGI or other private hospitals in Chandigarh for costly treatment. This would help people with lesser resources in getting treatment at moderate rates, he added.
