Apollo hospitals to set up a new centre in Amritsar
Residents of Amritsar, and the adjoining regions in Punjab, can now avail premium quality healthcare service. Apollo hospitals have decided to establish its footprint in the city, and millions can now have access to healthcare consultancy in the vicinity. Apollo hospitals earlier had a unit in Ludhiana, and will beef up its presence in the interiors of Punjab with this announcement.
The Punjab government has recently given its consent to this multi super specialty hospital spread over an area of 6 hectare. Chief Secretary of Punjab government, Survesh Kaushal chaired the high level meeting held recently.
This initiative will make world class healthcare accessible and cost saving for residents of Punjab. It will also mean big investment and commitment for Indraprastha Apollo hospitals. SPS Hospital in Ludhaina has been operational since 2005, with 65 beds in the initial phase. In association with the Apollo Hospitals Group, it is now a state-of-the-art 350-bedded multi-speciality hospital.
