MCI approves 8 new medical colleges in India in May,2015
The Medical Council of India, in it’s the executive committee report released on 13th May, 2015, has approved the establishment of 8 medical colleges in the country. - Gadag, Karnataka by Government of Karnataka-150 seats
- Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar by U.T Andaman & Nicobar Administration- 100 seats
- New medical college at Juhu, Mumbai, by Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai-150 seats
- New medical college at Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh by Government of Uttar Pradesh with an annual intake of 100 students
- New medical college at Himmatnagar, Gujarat by Gujarat Medical Education & Research Society, Gujarat with an annual intake of 150 students
- New Medical College at Junagadh, Gujarat by Gujarat Medical Education & Research Society, Gujarat with an annual intake of 150 MBBS students
- New medical college at Koppal, Karnataka by Government of Karnataka with an annual intake of 150 students
- New medical college at Gulbarga, Karnataka by Govt. of Karnataka with an annual intake of 150 students
