Why Do Doctors Say No To Biometric Attendance System?
Overview
The National Medical Commission has proposed a letter for all the medical colleges in the nation that they should have a biometric attendance system in their institution.
While this is a wonderful system that has instantly curbed the Ghost Faculty menace in the country, ensuring presence in the hospital and college, yet it fails at the resident doctor level who are nearly doing 36 hours duty at a time.
To thoroughly debate this issue, Dr. Ajay Kumar, director of urology, nephrology, and transplant at PARAS HMRI HOSPITAL, former Chairman MCI ethics committee who is brought about the initial implementation of Biometric attendance, Dr. K M Abul Hasan, a pediatric and laparoscopic surgeon, and Dr. Rishiraj Sinha, a resident physician in transfusion medicine at AIIMS Bhopal, join us on today's episode of Health Perspective.
