Nashik: Acting on the proposal of the civic administration regarding the allocation of land for the construction of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) under Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), the General Body (GB) of Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has recently approved the proposal on Monday and decided to give 14 hectares of land located in the Mhasrul area of the city for the GMCH.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that a new medical college with a capacity of 100 students under Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and a 430-bed hospital attached to it was approved by the cabinet in Nashik. It was expected to cost around Rs 627.62 crore for the college and the affiliated hospital. Considering the available medical facilities in Nashik district, it was also necessary to provide intensive care medical facilities in Nashik district.
