Chennai: An MBBS aspirant and her dentist father have been booked for allegedly forging the NEET 2020 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) scorecard and submitting it to the officials during the counseling process.As per various media accounts, the medical aspirant allegedly submitted a fake NEET scorecard that displayed her scoring 610 marks while she actually scored only 27....
Chennai: An MBBS aspirant and her dentist father have been booked for allegedly forging the NEET 2020 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) scorecard and submitting it to the officials during the counseling process.
As per various media accounts, the medical aspirant allegedly submitted a fake NEET scorecard that displayed her scoring 610 marks while she actually scored only 27. The father-daughter duo went hiding from their native place in paramakudi but Periamet police successfully nabbed them in Kerala and the case is still under investigation.
An FIR was registered under sections 419 (Punishment for cheating by personation), 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 464 (Making a false document), 465 (Forgery), 468 (Forgery for the purpose of cheating), and 471 (Using as genuine a forged document) of the Indian Penal Code.
The father of the medical aspirant is identified as a dentist from the Ramanathapuram district. The case surfaced when the university officials observed that the medical aspirant submitted a mark sheet that showed discrepancies.
