Uttarakhand: Cabinet decides not to increase 10 percent surcharge on Govt hospital fee

Dehradun: In a recent cabinet meeting, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday decided not to increase the 10% surcharge levied on the fee paid for services at public hospitals.
As a rule, the surcharge on the OPD at government hospitals is raised by 10% every year.
Various other key decisions were taken by Dhami at the last cabinet meeting of 2021 in the secretariat.
Other major decisions were also taken including increase in the pension amount for elderly and widows, some tourism sector related decisions, and to employ guest teachers for postgraduate courses, etc, reports TOI.
