HISTORY OF WORLD HEALTH DAY
The World Health Organization was established with the participation of 61 countries, and its constitution was ratified in July 1946 and put into effect on April 7th, 1948. World Health Day was first observed on July 22, 1949, but was later moved to April 7 in order to encourage student participation. World Health Days have raised awareness of numerous health issues for more than 50 years, including mental health, maternal and child care, and climate change.
