Nashik: District guardian minister Chhagan Bhujbal has issued direction to the public works department and the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) instructing them to finalize the land distribution for the proposed medical college under Maharashtra University of Health Sciences(MUHS).
The new medical college will be holding a capacity of 100 MBBS students and it will have a 430-bed hospital attached to it. It was expected to cost around Rs 627.62 crore for the college and the affiliated hospital. MUHS had already entered into an agreement with Dr. Vasantrao Pawar Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre where it would be sending the students admitted for postgraduate courses in its college to take lessons and do practicals till the time the construction is completed.
