New Delhi: 294 PG medical  seats  at 34 medical colleges now stand in jeopardy as the colleges are yet to furnish necessary documentation for getting the Letter of Permission from the Ministry of health and Family welfare, regarding the various PG medical courses.

The information to this effect was recently released by the Union Health Ministry, through a public notice

The Ministry pointed out that it had issued letters during August and October 2017 to the following colleges calling for Bank Guarantees/Undertakings for issuing Letters of Permission (LoP) in respect of PG (Broad Specialty) courses for the Academic Session 2018-19.

However, the ministry noted that most of the colleges are yet to submit the requisite documents to the Ministry.  The ministry has adviced all concerned to furnish requisite documents immediately for issuing Letter of Permission. It is reported that bank guarantees/undertakings are a necessary requirement for getting the permission from the Ministry/MCI to start a particular PG course or increase seats in the said course

The ministry has released the following list of colleges and seats in their respective PG Medical Courses.
