5 Doctors nominated to Maharashtra Medical Council by Maha Govt
Mumbai: After 7 months of being in Limbo over the constitution of the main medical regulator of the state, the Maharashtra government has finally inched ahead with the constitution of the Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC)
It is reported that CM has finally nominated five members to the Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC). These include the following
- Dr Ajit Gopchade (Paediatrician, Nanded),
- Dr Bakulesh Mehta (MBBS, Mumbai),
- Dr Makarand Vyavahare (Professor at Chandrapur Medical College),
- Dr Pratap Jadhav (Orthopaedic surgeon, Jalgaon)
- Dr Venky Raghuvan
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that while the election of the state medical council had been done and results announced. However the council could not be constituted as the state government had not nominated its members. With the government now highlighting its preferences, the nominations would now be sent to law and judiciary department, for its approval.
