Dr Yash Paul Sharma MBBS, MD, DM (Cardiology), FSCAI, FCSI, FIEAC, is a Professor and Head of Dept. Of Cardiology Advanced Cardiac Centre, PGIMER Chandigarh. His Research/Teaching area of Specialization is Clinical and preventive cardiology, Complex interventional cardiology procedures, Heart Failure and cardiogenic shock, Rheumatic heart disease and innovations in Cardiology. He was the Expert member for upgradation of Government Medical Colleges under PMSSY III, Expert member of National Steering Committee of NCD, Expert member in the Technical Committee constituted under the chairmanship of Director General Health Services (DGHS) for supervising Clinical Trials on new chemical entities, Expert Member for Coronary Stents in National List of Essential Medicines (NLEM) Core Committee, Expert technical member of various sub-committees meeting to finalize the list of diseases covered under Rashtriya Arogya Nidhi and HMDG, Expert Member of the Committee to finalize guidelines for screening of Diabetes and Heart Disease, Technical expert member to formulate WHO guidelines for coronary artery disease.
