AIIMS submits medical report of Jayalalithaa to TN Govt
New Delhi: On request of Tamil Nadu Government, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) handed over former Tamil Nadu chief minister J. Jayalalithaa's health record to the state's Health Secretary J. Radhakrishnan.
The Tamil Nadu Government rejected former state chief minister O. Panneerselvam's claims on late AIADMK chief J. Jayalalithaa's death.
Tamil Nadu Health Minister C. Vijayabaskar accused Panneerselvam of spreading false information among the people regarding the health conditions Jayalalithaa.
"O. Panneerselvam has been continuously spreading false information among people regarding health conditions of former chief minister J. Jayalalithaa. O. Panneerselvam stands as the first culprit in the suspicions that he is now raising about the medical treatment that Amma was being given," Vijayabaskar said.
On February 28, twelve AIADMK MPs, belonging to the O Panneerselvam group, met President Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi and handed over a petition seeking a probe into the medical treatment provided to Jayalalithaa before her demise on December 5.
The group also sought a probe into the incidents that occurred at Jayalalithaa's Poes Garden residence on September 22 before she was admitted to hospital.
