Chandigarh: As many as 26 lakh children in 0 to 5 years age group will be given polio-resistant drops in thirteen districts of Haryana on June 16 under National Pulse Polio campaign, Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Rajiv Arora said while addressing the officers of the State Task Force of the Pulse Polio Campaign in Panchkula on Wednesday Polio booths would be established in urban and rural areas of Ambala, Panchkula, Yamunanagar, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Panipat, Sonepat, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Gurugram, Faridabad, Mewat and Palwal districts for giving polio drops to children, whereas on June 17 and June 18, polio drops would be given to the deprived children by visiting every house.

He said that there is a need for the special focus of immunization at construction sites, brick kilns, stone crushers, slums, as in such places there are large number children of migrants and labourer.
Ms Amneet P Kumar, Mission Director, National Health Mission, said that all the officers must effectively implement this campaign by establishing better coordination with district administration.
