Coincides with the announcement of launch of a new AIIMS hospital in Bihar

The wait for around two lakh aspirants, who had appeared for the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) prestigious MBBS course, is finally over. The results have now been declared on the website www.aiimsexams.org, for the MBBS entrance exam which was conducted on June 1. The good news is available at a click of a button for the 14,417 candidates who have been shortlisted for the course. The premier medical institute of India conducted the test in two shifts of different difficulty levels and, for the first time electronically. Students needed to have a good command over the general knowledge, in addition to their subjects.

AIIMS MBBS 2015 result opens the gate for admission to 672 MBBS seats in 7 AIIMS institutions located at New Delhi, Bhopal, Patna, Jodhpur, Rishikesh, Raipur and Bhubaneswar. The qualifying candidates can choose to study in their centre of choice, with 72 seats reserved in AIIMS Delhi and remaining 600 seats in the 6 new AIIMS. Each new AIIMS has a provision of 100 seats for MBBS programmes. The choice of centre is clearly stated in the application form filed by the student for the entrance, and during the counseling, can be probed further by the AIIMS authorities. Physical counseling is scheduled as the next step forward for allocation of seats as decided.

Three stringent rounds of counseling sessions are held by AIIMS for the final selection of students at each centre. Many dropouts are believed to happen; if the students are shortlisted for regional AIIMS centre’s, than their most preferred choice of Delhi. The three rounds of counseling session are held in July, August and September. AIIMS follows the Supreme Court deadline, to start the next academic session by September 30.

More news came pouring for the lakh of aspirants who appear for the MBBS exam conducted by AIIMS each year. For those seeking admission to the premier medical institute of India, in the future; the government has announced to set up a new AIIMS infrastructure in Bihar, the second in the state. The announcement has been made in Bihar recently by the Union Health Minister J P Nadda.

Nadda said after meeting with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar that he has urged the CM to make land available for another AIIMS, besides the one in Patna.

Nadda who made a trip to AIIMS Patna, said his ministry was making all efforts to make the institution fully functional as soon as possible.
