New Delhi:  All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhopal has recently released a notification for 119 vacancies for the post of Professor, Additional Professor and Associate Professor on Regular, Contract Basis. The Selection will be made on the basis of Interview.

AIIMS Bhopal is a premier Institute of National Importance (INI) established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) with the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country and attaining self-sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education and training.

Through a recent notice Director, AIIMS Bhopal has invited online applications from Indian Nationals/ persons registered as Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholder under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955 for various faculty posts (Group A) on Direct Recruitment on Regular basis/Deputation basis/Retired Faculty, as Consultant on Contractual basis.

LAST DATE OF APPLICATION: 06.03.2019 (Wednesday)

The interview will be held at AIIMS Bhopal or any other places as per decision taken by the Standing Selection Committee. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.

Qualification for Professors


Essential for Medical candidates:-

1. A medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian medical council Act of 1956 (Persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfill the condition specified in section 13(3) of the Act.) 
 

2. A postgraduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.

 

Experience: Fourteen years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D./M.S. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

 

Essential for Non-medical candidates:- 

1. Post graduate qualification e.g. Master degree in the concerned discipline. 

2. A doctorate degree of recognized university

 

Experience: Fourteen years teaching and/or research experience in the discipline/ subject concerned after obtaining the doctorate degree.



Age for Professor: Upper Age Limit: 58 years.


Pay Scale for Professor: As per 7th CPC: Level–14-A (168900-220400) Plus applicable allowances including NPA.

As per 6th CPC: Pay Band-4 Rs. 37400-67000 with Academic Grade Pay of Rs.10500 Plus applicable allowances including NPA.


Qualification for Additional Professors


Essential for Medical candidates:- 

1. A medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian medical council Act of 1956 (Persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfill the condition specified in section 13(3) of the Act.) 
 

2. A postgraduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.

 

Experience: Ten years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D. /M.S. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.


Essential for super-specialty discipline:-


1. Same as professor (medical)

2. D.M. in the respective discipline/ subject for medical super specialities and M.Ch. in the respective discipline/subject for surgical super specialities (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.


 

Experience: Seven years teaching and/or research experience in recognized institution in the subject of specialty for the candidate possessing 3 years recognized degree D.M./M.Ch. in the respective discipline/ subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.


Essential for Non- medical Candidates:- 1 & 2 are same as for Professor (Non – Medical).

 


Experience:-

Ten years of teaching and/or research experience in the discipline/ subject concerned after obtaining the doctorate degree.




Age for Additional Professors: Upper Age Limit: 58 years.


Pay Scale for Additional Professors: As per 7th CPC: Level–13-A2+ (148200- 211400) Plus applicable allowances including NPA.

As per 6th CPC: Pay Band-4 Rs. 37400-67000 with Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 9500/- Plus applicable allowances including NPA.


Qualification for Associate Professors


Essential for Medical candidates (for General Discipline):-

1. A medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian medical council Act of 1956 (Persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfill the condition specified in section 13(3) of the Act.)

 

2. A postgraduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.

 

Experience: Six years teaching and/or research experience in experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D./M.S. or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.


Essential for super-specialty discipline:-


1. Same as professor (medical).

 

2. D.M. in the respective discipline/ subject for medical super-specialities and M.Ch. in the respective discipline/ subject for surgical super-specialities (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) Or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.


 

Experience: Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of speciality for the candidate possessing 3 years recognized degree D.M. /M.Ch. in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.


Essential for Non- medical Candidates:- 1 & 2 are same as for Professor (Non – Medical).

 


Experience:-


Six years teaching and/or research experience in the discipline/subject concerned after obtaining the doctorate degree.





Age for Associate Professors: Upper Age Limit: 50 years.


Pay Scale for Associate Professors: As per 7th CPC: Level–13-A1+ (138300- 209200) Plus applicable allowances including NPA.

As per 6th CPC: Pay Band-4 Rs. 37400-67000 with Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 9000 Plus applicable allowances including NPA.




NOTE:-

1. The above vacancies are provisional and subject to variation at any time. The Director, AIIMS Bhopal reserves the right to vary the vacancies including reserved vacancies, as per the Govt. of India rules/circulars and requirements.

 

2.  Reservation is applied as per the roster provided by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India and as per Government of India Rules.

 

3.  Reservation for Persons with Disability (PWD) will be as per Government of India guidelines.

 

4.  Age, experience and all other prescribed qualifications will be counted as on last date of submission of application.

 

5. The period of experience wherever prescribed shall be counted after obtaining the prescribed qualification.
