Gorakhpur(UP):  Local MP and BJP leader Yogi Adityanath charged the Samajwadi Party government with making tall claims about providing land for setting up of AIIMS, knowing well that the land was mired in "controversy".

"Since the past six months , Akhilesh Yadav government has been making tall claims about providing land for setting up AIIMS here whereas the Centre has said that it is committed for the same", the Yogi who led a padyatra for setting up AIIMS said.

The last time, chief minister Akhilesh Yadav during his visit here had said that if the Centre gives green signal, his government is ready to provide land in Khuthan area for setting up AIIMS ...he also said that state was ready to bear the cost for broadening of roads which are narrow in the area, he said.

The Yogi alleged that the land about which the chief minister is making this announcement is mired in controversy.
