While welcoming the decision to set up an AIIMS in Bhatinda, congress leader Aminder Singh is reported to have sought clarification from the state govt on the land site being used to set up the hospital. Singh alleges the state govt of using the land for AIIMS site as a property of state agricultural university and, hence, a matter of serious land dispute.
"You can't take away the land meant specifically for agriculture research," he said while reacting to the state government's proposal to take away 175 acres of land from Punjab Agricultural University regional research centre at Bathinda for setting up of AIIMS.
