AP: Mother and Child Care unit at Government General Hospital soon

GUNTUR: A new unit of mother and child healthcare is soon going to be added at the Andhra Pradesh Government General Hospital (GGH). It is reported the Andhra Pradesh Medical Services and Infrastructure Development Corporation (APMSIDC) will construct this new unit.
The total budget of Rs 20 crore was sanctioned for the said unit in 2014 by the central government out of which a sum of Rs 15 crore was released by the State government for it. The Guntur Medical College Alumni of North America (GMCANA) has come forward to donate Rs 30 crore for the mother and child hospital if the project was taken up.
