Apollo Hospital currently has a facility in Dhaka and plans to launch another facility in Chittagong in Bangladesh

Citing reasons of increase in footfalls from Bangladesh in its Kolkata facility, Apollo Hospital Group is planning to expand its operations in Bangladesh and Kolkata, both. The group currently has a functioning hospital in Dhaka and plans to have one more hospital in Chittagong in Bangladesh, as implied by Apollo Hospital CEO, Eastern Region, Rupali Basu, in a press statement.

The Apollo Hospital Group is yet to decide the expansion mode and mechanism-weather it would be through a tie up or not; however, the group has confirmed its plans to expand its operations in Bangladesh and Kolkata recently to PTI.

The group is also contemplating to have a 200-bed hospital in south Kolkata, Basu further said.

The group now has a 510-bedded hospital in the northern part of the city.

"Besides, We also have plans to set up a new facility in the North Eastern region, particularly Assam," Basu said.
