Aster Medcity receives JCI recognition
Kochi based hospital; Aster Medcity has received international recognition a.k.a The Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation, the gold standard approving quality, patient safety, and employee safety as the parameters. As a token of appreciation, the JCI awarded the Gold Seal of Approval to Aster Medcity here for its standards in healthcare and patient safety.
President and Chief Executive Officer of JCI, Paula Wilson, handed over the accreditation to Azad Moopen, Chairman, Aster Medcity, and Dr. Harish Pillai, CEO in the presence of Prabhu Vinayakham, Managing Director, Asia Pacific Joint Commission International and several other dignitaries. Based in Illinois, USA, JCI is a division of the Joint Commission Resources Inc (JCR), a private, not-for-profit affiliate, which works to improve patient safety and quality of health care.
Aster Medcity, owned by Aster DM Healthcare and founded by Azad Moopen is a more than 650 bedded tertiary care facility in the outskirts of Kochi, Kerala and apart from domestic patients acts as a referral healthcare centre for patients from the Gulf region
