Meerut: In a move aimed at expanding the global footprint of Indian traditional medicine, a delegation from Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU), Meerut, held discussions in Warsaw, Poland, to strengthen collaboration in Ayurveda, Yoga, naturopathy and academic research.
The talks focused on establishing a long-term institutional partnership, including the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for joint academic and research initiatives.
The CCSU delegation, led by Vice Chancellor Prof Sangeeta Shukla, met representatives of the Polish Modern Ayurveda Foundation during its visit to Poland. The meeting was facilitated with the support of the Embassy of India in Warsaw and took place following recommendations from Indian Ambassador Smt Nita Bhushan and Shri Sandeep Kumar, reports Dastak Times.
The Polish Modern Ayurveda Foundation, headquartered in Szczecin, promotes Ayurveda and natural medicine and collaborates with higher educational institutions. It has an academic partnership with Collegium Balticum - Academy of Applied Sciences, where Ayurveda-based higher education and training programmes are being conducted.
Representing the Foundation were its President, Miss Monika Karolczuk and International and Academic Cooperation Coordinator, Miss Jolanta Rybarczyk. The discussions centred on strengthening cooperation in Ayurveda, Yoga, naturopathy and higher education, while also exploring opportunities for collaborative research and academic exchange.
Prof Shukla said Ayurveda and Yoga are rooted in India's ancient knowledge tradition and highlighted CCSU's efforts to promote these disciplines through education and research. She noted that the university, located in Meerut near the renowned Yoga and Ayurveda centres of Haridwar and Rishikesh, is well positioned to contribute to the global dissemination of these systems of medicine.

She also outlined the activities of the university's Department of Yoga, which conducts academic programmes, free Yoga sessions and training initiatives related to Yoga and natural health. During the meeting, the delegation shared details of CCSU's academic and research activities and discussed opportunities for international collaboration in Ayurveda, Yoga and natural medicine.
Both sides also expressed interest in developing cooperation through student and faculty exchange programmes, joint research projects and other academic activities. The possibility of formalising the collaboration through an MoU received a positive response, with both institutions agreeing to explore the proposal further.
