New Delhi: A five-month-old infant from Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, allegedly died after being administered ayurvedic medicine, prompting the state government's Ayush Department to seize the medicines and send samples for testing and other necessary legal actions, the Ayush ministry said on Friday.
It said that the Ministry of Ayush is actively coordinating with state authorities to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality in Ayush medicines, promoting their safe and effective use for public well-being.
