Bihar: 8 government doctors expelled for absenteeism
Patna: Eight government doctors were expelled from service in Bihar on for negligence of duty, officials said.
"A decision to expel eight government doctors posted at hospitals in different districts across the state was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar," an official of health department said.
According to officials, the doctors expelled were found absent from duty for the last five years.
This is the first major action against government doctors in Bihar for negligence of duty.
