4 UP Doctors booked over patient's death following botched surgeries
Varanasi: Four doctors and an ASHA worker in Varanasi were booked by Chetganj police for recommending several surgeries on a woman patient, allegedly leading to her death.
TOI reported that the police lodged an FIR against Dr Swarnlata Singh of Chetganj, Dr Javed Iqbal of Ramakant Nagar, Dr Vidya Shankar Pandey of District Jail Road, Dr. GD Gupta of Padaav, and ASHA worker Annu Devi of Hanuman Ghat after the Chief Judicial Magistrate issued an order in this regard.

HC denies relief - 9 MBBS graduates to get banned from practising medicine
Rajasthan- In a case of admission fraud in Rajasthan, 9 MBBS graduates lost their case in the High Court against the order of Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS) to cancel their MBBS admission. With this, RUHS is writing a letter to the authorities demanding to stop them from practising medicine.
"They got the admission on the basis of cheating. They did not appear in the RPMT exam in 2009 and someone else appeared impersonating them. We will write to all the concerned authorities to prevent them from practising medicine”, RUHS Vice Chancellor Dr Dhananjay Agarwal informed TOI.

Doctor duped of Rs 17 crore in Dubai E-Cigarette scam
Thiruvananthapuram: In yet another shocking fraud case, a 55-year-old doctor from Sreevaraham fell victim to an elaborate e-cigarette manufacturing scam, losing a staggering Rs 17 crore to two fraudsters who allegedly lured him with the promise of a distribution license for a Dubai-based e-cigarette company.
The fraud came to light after the doctor realised that he was scammed after paying the amount in cash for the past 6 months in various intervals in 2020. Accordingly, an FIR was registered against the two fraudsters and an investigation was launched in this connection on Sunday.

NEET PG 2024: MP HC allows normalisation plea, tells NBE to Issue Fresh State Merit List of In-Service Candidates
Jabalpur: Granting relief to the postgraduate medical aspirants who challenged the double normalization process of marks while preparing the state merit list, the Madhya Pradesh High Court has quashed the entire state merit list altogether.
Further, the HC bench has asked the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), the authority in charge of conducting the NEET-PG examination, to prepare a fresh state rank list for the in-service candidates.
