Serve till Superannuation or Pay Rs 50 lakh Penalty: TN Bond Policy for NEET SS in-service admissions 2024

Chennai: In-service candidates taking admission to the super-speciality courses in Tamil Nadu will have to serve the Government till superannuation or pay Rs 50,00,000 as bond penalty.

As per the latest prospectus, issued by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Chennai, at the time of admission to the super-speciality courses in the government medical colleges in Tamil Nadu, the doctors will have to execute a bond for Rs 50 lakh as a security amount with an undertaking specifying their commitment to work for the Government till their retirement.

HC Issues Notice to NMC, Varsity over Mercy Plea for MBBS 1st-Year

Issuing notices to the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University, a Division bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court has sought their response to a plea filed by an MBBS student, seeking a 'mercy attempt' to pass the first-year exam.

After failing to clear the first-year MBBS exam in the four attempts allotted to the MBBS students, the petitioner student has now approached the HC bench seeking a 'mercy attempt'.

Solapur Neurologist Suicide Case: Court extends Admin officer's Police Custody

Solapur: In a latest development in the Dr. Shirish Valsangkar suicide case, the session court in Solapur has granted police two more days of custody of the accused administrative officer of S P Institute of Neurosciences.

The accused, who was arrested for allegedly abetting the suicide of the renowned neurologist and was serving in judicial custody, was produced in the court again as police sought further time for investigation. During the hearing, the police presented fresh allegations related to financial misconduct against her.
