Chennai: Income Tax Raids at Apollo Hospitals premises

Chennai: Income Tax Department has started conducting raids on various premises belonging to Apollo Hospital group since 8 am in the morning. These include various hospitals falling under the healthcare giant, which operates around 20 hospitals in the city of Chennai alone.
According to sources, IT officials have also conducted a raid on the residence of the Chairman of the group, Dr Pratap Reddy. Reasons for the raid are still not official yet. The PR department of the Apollo hospitals group has confirmed the raid, but is yet to release further communication regarding the same.
