CM orders removal of medical superintendent of SMGS hospital
Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti expressed dismay over the poor sanitation in the SMGS hospital and ordered the removal of its medical superintendent during a surprise visit.
She took stock of sanitation, medical facilities and availability of medicines to patients, an official spokesman said.
The chief minister visited various wards and inpatient units of the hospital and also inspected the OPD, casualty ward, washrooms and other places in the hospital.
Mufti interacted with patients and their attendants and asked for their feedback, a spokesman said.
The Chief Ministers office had received complaints about poor sanitation and other facilities in the hospital in the past.
In a recent review meeting with administrative secretaries, Mufti had directed the department concerned to take measures for improving sanitation and other services at the hospital, he said.
