The Chief Ministers office had received complaints about poor sanitation and other facilities in the hospital in the past.

In a recent review meeting with administrative secretaries, Mufti had directed the department concerned to take measures for improving sanitation and other services at the hospital, he said.

During the visit, she expressed displeasure over the poor sanitation in the hospital, including the condition of washrooms, air conditioners, and beds, and directed the officials to improve the same.

The chief minister ordered the removal of the hospital's medical superintendent, the spokesman said.

Later, she visited Maharaja Hari Singh Park on the banks of Tawi river here and took stock of the beautification works.

She expressed satisfaction over the pace of work and asked officials to operationalise the library and coffee shop in the park.
