New Delhi: A doctor was arrested for allegedly molesting one of his students on the pretext of getting her admitted to a good nursing college, the police said.


The 19-year-old victim, who lives in Narela, had been taking coaching classes for a nursing course from a private institute, they added.





On October 4, Md Iqbal Shah (49 years), a visiting faculty at the institute, allegedly sent the other students away and called the victim to his room. He assured her that he would get her admitted to a good college and held her hand forcibly, the police said.


The woman managed to escape from there and subsequently, narrated the incident to her parents who approached the police.


Shah was arrested yesterday. He was produced in a court today which sent him to judicial custody.


Shah also runs a doctors polyclinic from a rented property in Narela.
