Delhi government all set to ban rapid card test for dengue

According to senior Delhi government officials, the Health department will soon issue a notification banning the use and sale of Rapid Card Test in all hospitals.
"With people panicking, private hospitals and pathological labs are performing rapid dengue antigen test which gives result in an hour. But this test sometimes gives false positive result which in turn may lead to inaccurate treatment. "Elisa method for detection of dengue infection is sensitive, specific and reliable. In Elisa method, it takes six to seven hours for the results to come out.
