New Delhi, Jul 11 : The Delhi government has decided to set up committees to monitor the implementation of health schemes in the national capital, especially Mission Indradhanush, which was launched by the Union Health Ministry to immunise children against vaccine-preventable diseases.
"Members of these Committees will monitor the implementation of various ongoing health programes and schemes of the State and Central government.
"Also, the recently launched programme Mission Indradhanush, which is aimed at immunizing children against seven vaccine-preventable diseases will be thoroughly monitored," said a senior Health department official.
According to sources in the Delhi government's Health department, the panels are likely to be constituted by next week and MLAs could head them.
Guru Gobind Singh Hospital, Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital and a plot in Chattarpur are the potential sites where the offices of these regional committees will be set up.
