The recent spat between the junior and the senior doctors has prompted the hospital authority to counsel the woman doctors to avoid any unfortunate incident like in the Dr Payal Tadvi case.
The present case sparked panic in the hospital after a senior doctor allegedly accused of ragging juniors, locked herself in her room on September 12. The medico did so fearing serious consequences after the junior doctor told her that she would move a complaint against her.
The senior doctor alleged that the junior doctor refused to accept work from her and was rude in her approach, while, the junior doctor stated that the senior doctor allegedly overburdened her with work and also harassed her.
Later, the junior doctor threatened the senior stating that she would move a complaint about her behaviour. In light of the past incident, the senior doctor got panic struck and locked herself inside the room. Thereafter, the senior doctor was extended mental health support for a few days before she resumed work.
