Doctor who accused Faridkot Medical College HoD of Sexual Harassment detained for protesting at DC's office

Faridkot: The doctor, who has been protesting against the alleged inaction of the Guru Gobind Singh Medical College authorities on her sexual harassment complaint against the senior faculty; was recently detained for staging a commotion at the Deputy Commissioner's office.
The woman doctor, posted as senior tutor at the institute along with 5 other female protestors had been taken to the police station from where they were released an hour later.
She had launched the protest on November 16 outside DC office as there was no action on her complaint of sexual harassment for three months. She has been urging the police to arrest the HoD at the medical college. The medico had filed the complaint in August this year, but no FIR has been registered till date and all the internal inquires are reportedly pending with the prevention of sexual harassment committee headed by an Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC).
