Efforts underway to improve medical services in Telangana: Health Minister

Hyderabad: Telangana Medical and Health Minister Dr C Laxma Reddy on Thursday said that the government is making all efforts to improve medical services for the people in the state.


Speaking after inaugurating the 5th National Health Writers and Editors Seminar, organized by Yashoda hospital here, Dr Reddy said that the medical services in the government hospitals were improved on par with the Corporate Hospitals by the state government.

Apart from providing KCR Kit, the state government also extending financial support of Rs 12,000 to the pregnant women in Telangana, he said.


The Minister also appealed to the private hospitals to provide medical services to the needy patients in a humanitarian ground not for business, then only they would get money as well as satisfaction.


Later the Minister gave away awards to the pharmaceutical companies. Yashoda Hospitals Chairman Ravinder Rao, Managing Director Surender Rao and several doctors took part in the seminar.
