ESIC to start a city hospital in Karnataka

Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) is soon going to launch a super specialty hospital in Kalaburagi, a city in Karnataka. The launch will happen this month end.
Under the news scheme of things, 47,210 Insured Persons (IPs) of Bidar, Kalaburagi, Vijayapura, Bagalkot, Bellary and Koppal districts (employees and employers registered with ESIC), will be entitled to free treatment of cost. .
With the compliance with the norms of the Medical Council of India to be completed with the launch, the construction of the new hospital is almost complete. 200 doctors, including 24 specialists in surgery, 24 in medicine and 12 in gynaecology have been appointed by ESIC.
They are also reported to be working at ESIC Medical College and at the District Government Hospital which is attached to ESIC Medical College.
