Extortionists demand Rs.5 lakh from woman doctor in Patna
Patna: A woman doctor in the Bihar capital has been asked to pay Rs 5 lakh by unidentified extortionists, police said on Tuesday.
Hena Rani Devnath was also threatened on her phone with dire consequences if she does not pay the amount, a police official said.
Her husband Rajkishore Prasad lodged a police complaint at the Alamganj police station.
Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj said they have launched an investigation, and the criminals will be arrested soon.
