La Femme, the first women-only comprehensive healthcare facility by the Fortis Healthcare Limited has now been launched in Bengaluru. The first such women-only establishment was set up by Fortis in New Delhi earlier; with Bengaluru being the second women-healthcare premise for the hospital.

Present at the inauguration were women dignitaries and achievers in their respective fields including  Jija Hari Singh, former director general of police, writer Anita nair, fashion designer Deepika Govind and bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra. They together walked the ramp to commemorate the launch of the new centre.

The role of the contemporary women in which they don multiple hats is the reason behind the innovation of this new healthcare service concept. Beauty and cosmetology, dental care, birthing, antenatal care, post-natal care, genetic and foetal medicine, neonatal care and infertility treatment are among the facilities that have been made available.

“This is a one-stop destination for several treatments. I would like to give birth to my second child here,” the actor said. Recalling her stay in the city during the early days, Kundra said that she liked the old Bengaluru more, as reported by the Deccan Herald.

Bhavdeep Singh, CEO, Fortis, said, “Fortis La Femme, Bengaluru, extends the brand, taking forward the legacy of its facility in New Delhi, which has earned a formidable reputation for itself in addressing every dimension of healthcare for women. This centre clearly recognises that a woman needs specialised medical care in a nurturing and comforting environment and we will go the extra mile to deliver that promise.”
