Frontier Lifeline Hospital selected for Australia India Strategic Research Fund
New Delhi: A significant Indo-Australian Research Exchange Program has been signed by our Prime Minister along with the Prime Minister of Australia, Malcolm Turnbull during his visit to India.
A Joint Media release with the Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science Senator the Hon Arthur Sinodinos and Foreign Minister, the Hon Julie Bishop was released for Joint Research projects focused on advanced manufacturing, improved disease control and new medical technologies.
The Australian Government is contributing around USD seven million in funding towards these 10 projects.
Since its establishment in 2006, the Australian and Indian governments have
together committed more than USD 100 million to the AISRF.
The program has supported some 300 collaborative activities. Australian recipients are BioQ Devices, Monash University and the University of New South Wales.
The AISRF is Australia's largest fund dedicated to bilateral science collaboration. It helps build links between Australia's and India's top universities, research institutions and the end users of scientific innovation.
Frontier Mediville a Basic Science Research institution is the only Private Institution from India which has been successful as a grand recipient.
