Goa: Health Minister inspects super speciality block at Goa Medical College

The minister stated that efforts had been made by Government to built mother and child Block in the same premises.


Panaji:  Goa Minister for Health Vishwajit Rane inspected Super Specialty Block of Goa Medical College (GMC) being built under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana at Bambolim near the city on Friday.


After inspecting the site, Mr Rane praised the work and progress executed by HSCC (India Limited), a Government of India Enterprise, and said this would be one of the best modern hospitals in Goa which he said would provide treatment to patients needing super speciality healthcare. ''Hence we are doing time to time monitoring of the same,'' he said.

Mr Rane said similarly he had held the discussion with Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar and file had been moved that the construction of work of cancer block centre would be also given to HSCC (India), as they had vast experience of building such cancer centre.


The minister stated that efforts had been made by Government to built mother and child Block in the same premises.


Mr Rane also informed that nomination basis for providing Health infrastructure would be built through HSCC and government had also given principle approval to Candolim hospital and was already handed over to HSCC.
