New Delhi: Terming the import of large quantities of pharmaceutical ingredients from China as "unfortunate", government today said it plans to boost their production in the country.
Responding to a question on import of 'interior' quality of active pharmaceutical ingredients from China, Minister of State for Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals Hansraj Gangaram Ahir said it is "unfortunate" that India continues to import these ingredients from countries like China and six mega parks are also planned in this regard.
