Gujarat: Chief District Medical Officer held for taking Rs 10,000 bribe

Navsari: Chief District Medical Officer-cum-Civil Surgeon of Navsari in South Gujarat was arrested by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of the state police for allegedly taking a bribe from a man to renew his liquor permit, here on Monday.

Assistant Director of the ACB D P Chudasama on Monday said that class one medical officer and Civil Surgeon in MG General Hospital here,Dr Anil T Kotda had sought Rs 10 thousand bribe from the man for giving his positive opinion for the renewal of liquor permit.
