Health authorities in Gurgaon have reportedly taken a stringent action against a private hospital for stocking few drugs without the required permission.

The authorities conducted a raid after a tip off from a patient. Suspecting the drugs to be misused inside the private hospital, the health authorities took an immediate action. That private hospital is situated in the sector 56 of Gurgaon.

As reported by the TOI, the raid was conducted after the authorities got a tip-off from a patient. The hospital reportedly had a stock of allopathic medicine and injections, which include Rx, NRx and XRx. The authorities recovered 19 such drugs from the hospital.

"The drugs can be misused and thus keeping them without permission is threat to patient's health. We have sent the samples of the drugs to an authorized laboratory,"" said Amardeep Chauhan, drug controller in a media statement.

A case has been registered against the owner of the hospital under the Drug and Cosmetic Act.
